Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a ceili (Celtic Country Dance) on Saturday March 18, 2017, at Victoria Park Pavilion, 80 Schneider Ave., Kitchener,  8:30 to 12 midnight. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.

I have been playing with the Grand River Ceili Band since the 1990s. I usually play the Hardanger fiddle I made in 2003, or the first fiddle I made from the pear tree given me in the early 1980s.

Pioneer Day, October 4, Jordan

I am happy to again be part of the wonderful Pioneer Day at the Jordan Historical Museum, 3800 Main Street, Jordan ON.  Saturday October 4, 2014 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  I will be demonstrating such traditional woodworking techniques as hand dovetailing and shaving making.

Pioneer Day is a great way to learn about traditional crafts, Pennsylvania-German Mennonite heritage, and enjoy some fantastic food!

Join us for the first Ceili (Irish Country Dance) of the fall, at Victoria Park Pavilion, 80 Schneider Avenue, Kitchener, on Saturday September 24, 8:30 p.m. to 12 midnight.

I have been playing with the Grand River Ceili Band since 1997. I usually play the first fiddle I made from the pear tree given me in the early 1980s.

These dances are immensely popular and often sell out.  Advance tickets are recommended.
