Cover of Evolving Urban Landscapes

“I believe that a sense of place is the meaning of a place and the attachment that one develops towards it over the course of many years. … I have explored in my own way what I feel to be the essence of the Region: its hills, its rivers and streams, its peculiar road patterns, and its characteristic architecture.”

Award of Excellence: Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation

I was greatly honoured to receive a Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation Award of Excellence on June 10, 2014 at the rare charitable research reserve ECO Centre, 768 Blair Road, Cambridge.  “The Awards of Excellence, inaugurated in 1983, are intended to recognize outstanding contributions by individuals, institutions and organisations to heritage preservation in Waterloo Region.”

Phil with his Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation Award, standing between his award nominators, Susan Burke and John Arndt.

Thanks to my nominators, Susan Burke and John Arndt.
