Miniature harvest table

1/6 scale cherry peg top harvest table

Miniature cherry table

1/6 scale model of a 1825-1850 kitchen dining table from Vineland Ontario, documented by Howard Pain in “The Heritage of Upper Canadian Furniture“. Toronto: Van Nostrand Reinhold, 1978, p. 321.  Built of cherry, with pine as secondary wood.

The top of this Pennsylvania style of table was fastened to the base by pegs, so it could be easily taken off when its owner moved. The unfinished top was known as a scrub top.

This table was commissioned in 2000 as part of a set of miniature Pennsylvania German furniture.
